10 chopsticks

Once upon a time, there was an old man who had ten sons. Most of the time, his ten sons always fought each others day by day. One day, this old man gathered ten of them, he gave one chopstick to each of them, told them to break it. They broke it easily. They felt very happy and said : “ This is a piece of cake!” Then he took out ten chopsticks, bundled them together, let them break them. This time, no matter how hard they had tried, the bundle of chopsticks couldn’t be broken.

The old man saw his confused sons, said gently: “Dear my sons, ten of you are like these ten chopsticks, if you are divided, you will have small power. If you are gathered, you will have huge power. Next time all of you have to gather, so all of you will success in everything you would like to do.”

After they listened to what their father said then they understood why their father told them to break chopsticks.



Dear my friends, no matter where we are, in family, in office, at school, if we are broken, our power will be spilled. Don’t put ourselves into pieces. We sometimes forget the words “TOGETHER WE WILL” . Because of power, position and money, sister will fight with her own brother. The relationship in the family becomes un-harmony. Love changes to fierce and hate. To save our own position in our work place, even we don’t realize it, we sometimes hurt our colleges’ feeling to get what we want to achieve. Yes, we have our own ego, but once we need to realize that we are human beings who always need others human being to socialize in the society. We should think any reaction before we take an action.
